This site is about the history of the land once occupied by the Lilleshall Estate of the Dukes of Sutherland and their forebears in the Leveson-Gower family. It was centred on Lilleshall House, now the Lilleshall Hall National Sports Centre, and extended westwards across the Weald Moors and southwest to the old Roman road at Watling Street.
